I say a lot of things, and often they’re in the vein of “I’ll finish that tomorrow.” Most recently, only a few minutes ago, I said, “I’ll be home within half an hour.”
Promises. They’re funny. I’ve also said, to myself, “I’ll write every day,” and “I’ll finish that chapter,” and “I should update those course notes.” I know for sure, though, that I can make good on one of those promises, but I only have about 20 minutes left. So, I’ll head home, and make it with 10 minutes to spare (if I make motions to leave right now).
